With the help of some talented programmers who offer their work to the open-source community, as well as some good old fashioned poking-around-with-code, we have a new layout for the Commons. Not all features are up to speed yet, but the outline is here.

No free help per se, but there’s a lot of people posting free how-to guides on hacking blogger. Many of them post entire templates — this is one of them, albeit extensively modded by me. Apart from a few details (like removing the navbar) this is pretty much all me — but it’s much easier to reverse engineer something than start from scratch.
