Karen Johnsen

Managing Director, Finance & Operations

Karen has worked exclusively in financial and operations management for non-profit organizations since 2005. Prior to joining Global Integrity in 2018 she served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Aspen Art Museum and Aspen Art Museum Foundation for 8 years, developing systems and analyzing financial data in support of building a new museum and furthering the institutional mission. Prior to that she was the Director of Finance and Administration at Hearth Connection, advancing their critical work to implement Minnesota’s Plan to End Long-term Homelessness. She has Master’s Degrees in Accounting and Financial Management as well as Applied Mathematics. Karen is dedicated to effectively managing operations and communicating financial information to promote and broaden the programmatic work of nonprofits.
